Security of Online Client-Server Applications
Čapek, Jan ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to security of client-server applications running on Windows platform. In the beginning chapters it is possible to find motivation, about why this type of security is important. Following content describes some elements of used architecture and elements of operating system Windows. The core of the work contains techniques and tools used by the attacker and protection against them. In following chapter there is a design and implementation of the security solution based on the previous theory. This solution is then tested against various threats, to verify its effectivity.
Digital Steganography for Executables
Bever, Ľuboš ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
Steganography for executable files is the least common steganography. Research in this area has subsided after several, not many, attempts to implement it. The aim of this work is the implementation of existing methods and its modification proposal. Extensible software that has been created, can be also used to implement other methods. The implemented methods were properly tested,  evaluated and compared. The comparison results show, that the used instruction substitution method, roughly corresponds to its reference value 1/110, however the results are highly dependent on the input binaries. The proposed extension of this method averages a data rate of 1/84, which is only 1.5 times less than the value obtained from another existing implementation in which specialized software was used to search for equivalence classes. The maximum data rate obtained from test programs is 1/38.

An annotating disassembler for AMD64
Láska, Ladislav ; Mareš, Martin (advisor) ; Děcký, Martin (referee)
The goal of this work is to create a disassembler for the AMD64 architecture which would simplify program analysis in machine code. The work describes low-level instruction format, object file format and system conventions, on which we base our program. Its features are for example branch analysis and visualization, the ability to work with default memory contents, interpretation of ABI calling conventions, expression renaming and simplification based on known values. Scripting API for Python is integrated, which enables the user to write custom plug-ins, and extend its abilities beyond what the author has anticipated.
